Segway Battery and Segway Batteries

Your Segway Battery has to be treated correctly to allow it to perform to its full abilities.  In order to keep your Segway battery charged and ready for use at a moments notice, you should leave it plugged in whenever it is not in use.  The Segway battery is made to need little to no maintenance - just unplug and go!

The Segway battery should take about 6 hours to re-charge if it is almost drained.  In reality, if you keep it plugged in, it probably won't be drained in the first place!  You can expect to get anywhere from 8-10 miles on a fully charged battery.

More about the Segway Battery

If you want to have a longer lasting battery that performs even better, you may want to re-condition it after you have charged it about 20 times.  The process of re-charging your Segway battery is quite simple.  Run your battery down to empty or zero charge so there is none remaining.  After the entire charge has run out, your Segway will shut off and not restart.  At this point, when the Segway battery charge is depleted, you should charge it for a full 10-12 hours.  After the re-charging start it up and immediately turn it off - unplug it and leave it for at least 4 hours.  At this point, you can consider your Segway battery re-charged!
